Ras Berhane was born Richard Thomas in town of San Fernando on the Isle of Trinidad. His musical influences include Curtis Mayfield, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Lee Scratch Perry, The Beatles, Parliament-Funkadelic, James Brown, and Richie Havens.Ras Berhane can often be found under beautiful trees playing his guitar and singing songs of justice and the victory of good over evil. His music touches us in a familiar place -- our heart.In 2005, Ras Berhane released an acoustic-cd entitled, "Buddha Ras."
